Lindsay Thomas, MSN, PMHNP-BC Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Founder

I’m Lindsay, a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner based in the greater Atlanta area. I work with adults of all ages who have the potential to thrive but just need some help getting there.

I have been working in the mental health field since 2005, when I graduated from Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College with a Masters Degree in Human Development Counseling. I worked as a counselor with adolescents and families at the Oasis Center in Nashville TN before returning to obtain my Masters of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University in 2007. While many of my nursing school classmates were rushing through their psych rotation, it was the only specialty I ever had the intention of going into! I became board certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in 2007. My education and training allows me to diagnose, prescribe medications and conduct integrated brief therapy in collaboration with a psychiatrist.

I have worked with many different patient populations over my years in practice, including in community based mental health centers and private practice settings. No matter what the setting, I believe that every person has the right to compassionate care. I approach each patient with a non judgmental outlook, and we will work together towards your goals in treatment. I believe that medication is only one tool to utilize on the road to mental health, and I encourage patients to incorporate complementary therapies as well.
